A ride for ALL the family on the North Downs, starting at Reigate Hill National Trust Car Park, heading out past the Sportsman Pub, a loop around Walton Heath and back. Road bikes not suitable but mountain bikes and hybrids with rugged tyres, fine (may be muddy!)
This route has proved popular in the past and suitable for children of ages six and above.
The aim will be for whole families - or parents and kids - to ride out in a sociable group and to teach the kids a few skills en route. It is around 5 - 6 miles but will go as gently as the slowest riders with frequent stops and then tea at the Urban Kitchen Cafe afterwards.
Please note: this is not a 'drop off and leave' event. Any children must have a parent or guardian with them (could be another parent who has agreed!)
Also good for any keen cyclists with reluctant other-halfs who can use the occasion to show just how much fun riding out sociably can be!
Please bring food and drink for little ones to consume en route.
